Workshop controller/ stores person

I am looking for a workshop controller to help run the workshop in Subury, Suffolk. The role will include managing the stores and running a long dormant ebay shop. Next there will be sage training to enable the accounts to be completed in-house. We work as a team so I need a team player, self motivated and capable of thinking for themselves. Background on the tools would be very useful, and there will be opportunities to jump back on them. IT skills are a must, because we have very few! We deal with E-types, XKs etc, I have 33 cars in at present so it is a demanding role. We will begin on a three month trial basis to assess progress, that you like us and we like you etc. The enthusiasm tends to wear off by that time, so there you have it. Ridiculous you really wouldnt have thought it would be hard to get someone in this climate would you.

If you need a hand am happy to try help out on the odd weekend when available. No mechanic but can do basic stuff (discs and pads on my a4 for ex )its all logic imo. Work with computers and computer literate etc so drop me a line if you want some help.

cant exactly come work for you however as "you cant afford me!" very happy with my present job and lifestyle.

Thanks Guys, 2 applications only so far. One guy reckons he would not consider the post for less than ?? despite the fact I don`t know him, don`t know his capabilities or skills level. Quite frankly I`m tired of the `I wouldn`t get out of bed for less than X` and even more so with this `pre madona` attitude. I thought professional footballers were guilty of this not tradesmen. Hard work and a good skills base is enough to earn you respect my this industry, talk is cheap.
Thanks for the offers but I do need someone skilled. This month we actually outsold the main dealer workshop in parts sales and have been running close for some months now since christmas.Thankfully have one really excellent tech and another semi skilled running the newer side.The old car work, as said I have 8 Etypes in at present plus others I cannot get to. seems crazy to have so much work and so few staff to build my business.
