Advice for this situation please?
Discussion
I have see a job advertised which I would like to apply for. Its a HGV driving job, I have the necessary licences and experience for the roll.
The advert says to telephone to apply, so on Saturday I ring and speak to the chap that I need to, he tells me to ring back Monday. So at about half 9 on Monday I ring and he then tells me to give him a couple of hours and call back as he is very busy. I then leave it till just after lunch, call again and he tells me that he now has my number stored and will call me back Monday night.
No call arrives on Monday night so this morning I ring him again, he tells me he is sorry for not calling me back, that he has my number and will call me tonight. Its now quarter to 7, and no call as of yet.
Now this chap couldnt have possibly wrote me off yet, he hasnt even took my name or asked anything about me.
I dont want to pester him and seem like a pain in the arse, nor do I want to sit back and wait for someone else to take the Job.
His advert did say that he was looking for 3 drivers.
So whats my next move? Do I go up there and present myself? or do I just sit back and wait?
I welcome advice, Thanks!

I'd go up there, no point wasting time in limbo land, get an answer.
Give it a day and if you have a CV rock up with it and leave it at reception.Sometimes employers are just to busy big picture people that have no scheduling abiltiy.
My step-daughter wanted a particular job and after being mucked around for a number of weeks to even get an interview, she got the job. Probably because the other people gave up and she was the only one still around... the guy (owner) just could not schedule himself.

Definately do not pester him, all it will do is put you in a bad light.
Give it till the end of the week and pop another call in.
This. But as said i have a big problem with people who don't give proper feedback. Fine if you say you will call that evening but have to let it slip to first thing in the morning (most the time!) but if you know you are unlikely to be able to do that then tell me you can't call until the following afternoon and then if you call early i am even happier!Give it till the end of the week and pop another call in.
