Job Seeker. CV advice needed please
Discussion
Hi
I have created my self a new PH members account for some much needed advice.
I have recently had to leave a good job I had in London due to unfortunate financial circumstances relating to the job.
Now, I am 22 with no formal qualifications other than a hand full of NVQs etc.
Since I left school, I have worked mainly in sales and customer care roles.
I am not the pushy type as I like to sell more on the Customer care side of things
I have a strong interest in cars, property and people.
I do however have a short attention span and want some thing more challenging/stimulating.
I think I know my strengths as well as my weaknesses such as:
Strengths.
determined
very ambitious
target driven
customer care skills
I give a damn
Very competitive
Care very much about the customer as well as the company.
Weaknesses:
Sore looser
poor writer
not very academic
terrible at selling myself in a job interview as I am too frank.
Not sure relevant any of the above is to my question, thought it might give you more of an idea what I am about.
I cant stress enough though, more than anything right now, I want a career and I will do anything to get one.
Is anybody prepared to give me some Advice as well as look at my CV?
Thanks for any replies

JB, would you kindly stop flirting with my very lovely colleague online ;-)
She is a founder of the company and she is one of the nicest, smartest, hardest working people I have ever met and yes, that is her real name! I understand your feedback is very helpful so I do appreciate it chap. Do feel free to pop in and say hi when you are next in town.
Gotta love PH!

The first thing I will say though is you should never state weaknesses as weaknesses- you should focus on your strengths and turn the weaknesses into strengths. Definitely not on your CV, but in interview you can specify certain areas that you can improve. If you need to provide a weakness then these can be ones that are actually strengths- sometimes being impatient with other people's sloppy work, being too demanding, not putting up with incompetence etc
