Job sites like Monster etc

A quick question regarding Monster, Fish4 etc: when you upload your CV can only registered employers look at it, or will I end up getting spammed to death by viagra websites?

I've been registered with Monster, GoJobSite and Jobserve for some years and don't seem to get any spam stuff.

No the only people that can see it are paid clients of the job boards, IE recruiters or employers.

You do get the occasional umbrella company or CV writer mail, but not regular spam

Some of them also allow you to select who can see your details, individual recruiters / companies being one of the options Jobserve seems to give you.

One thing I have noticed recently is a sudden rise in the number of "off shore" IT recruiters calling me about jobs in the UK with lower than average rates, the kind of rates you'd expect the overseas "factory" workers to be getting.

Otherwise no issues with spam at all but it's often useful to setup a dedicated email address for sites like this so you can bin it off later if necessary.
