Hi guys,
I want to apply for an IT support role through an agency, with a stated salary of £19-£20k. It has asked for a covering letter, outlining salary expectations and notice period.

My question to you is this, how do I best outline my salary expectation? There isn't much leaway in what they are offering, and to be honest the salary doesn't bother me.

Secondly, by notice period, does it mean the time in which I can start? It does state travelling is necessary, so perhaps it wants to know how flexible I am?

Cheers

salary expectation - I always take to mean what are you coming from previously, or what is the minimum. I suppose how you see yourself pay wise, with justification demonstrates what sort of employee you believe yourself to be.

Notice period - I would assume that means, if currently employed, how long before you can legally leave. I.e. 1week/1month/3months.
