Grievance / Complaints procedure
Discussion
An ex-colleague of mine has recently undertaken a grievance procedure and found ACAS very helpful. They made him aware of many things including how to write it, what steps to follow and guidance on what to and what not to say. Your company should have provided you with a policy/handbook detailing their procedure.

All i wanted to know was... do i write the outline of the problem, or do i need to write a detailed description.
submit an outline of the problem , enough for the investigating manager to get a feel for the issue, s/he can always then meet with you and either ask you for a more more detailed statement / do a contemp. notes style interview ...i presume you have copies of the relevant company policies to hand ...
