Just become an E39 M5 owner and wanted to find out some good/trustworthy main-dealer or specialists that I can use when it comes around to service time. Berks/Bucks/Oxfordshire is fine

Cheers

I've used Grosvenor in Reading for an oil service and other bits. If you can though go to DMworx in Aylesbury they are brilliant.

Have you had problems with the ones suggested?

My understanding is that CPC is a fairly solid bet. So much so that I'm tempted to wing my way down from Scotland at some point to get mine given a good looking over / fettling there.

I haven't really put many miles on the car so have not had it in for a major service yet - so haven't tried either of the suggestions yet. Thinking of going in soon though

I'd give various parts of my anatomy to have just one of the specialists listed in easy proximity to me - let alone a choice smile

I wouldn't touch them with a very large pole.

That was my old user name. Grosvenor are well worth a visit. They were very helpfull in trying to solve a brake shudder on my M5. They are servicing a lot of M3 now.

Phil at CPC is great, very friendly and sends you a report with pics of any items that need or will need at some point sorting. Nice to see what's going on and eliminates the BS factor. I'd recommend him to any BMW owner, bit of a pain to get to perhaps but definitely worth a visit.

I use my mate in Newbury for all things BMW. He regularly services M5's and M3's but I don't take mine to him for services as I have the Mondial warranty so it's main dealer.

let me know if you want the details.
