BMW M3 - semi-automatic

Is the E90 BMW M3 - semi-automatic the DCT (auto gearbox) or is it something else?

Thought the options was manaul and auto but is there a third in semi-automatic or have I got my wires crossed?

It's manual or DCT (which is the dual clutch gearbox)

There is no conventional auto option.
