Carbon Exhaust Tips. Melt/Firehazard?

In my failed attempt to source an adequate exhaust for the Funf, I have decided to employ the talents of local manufacturer and build it from Cats Back, bit of a project.
Do you think the tips would get too hot to make them from Carbon fibre? Just the last Four inches or so?

Might look odd, might look snazzy, Might torch the entire car, might be brilliant but either way its Saturday taken care of and I fancy something different.

Depends on the 'carbon fibre' I would guess as it is not all equal. (No expert).

Akrapovic make motorcycle silencers of the stuff and they will probably run hotter than the tips of a car exhaust system, they don't go up in flames.
