E36 M3 Evo, 1996

Just put in my new computer thing (18 button)as the old one was not working and all is well!

However, it nows tells me low coolant. The reading could have always been there, but as the old computer was broken, it wouldn't show.

The coolant is full and it never uses any, so was just wondering if the sensors go on these things?

Common fault?

Thanks

Its common on the e36 as a few of mine have done it including my M3. The level in the reservoir drops momentarily when you switch off the engine throwing up a low coolant message. turn the key off then back on again, press check control & all is ok again! I solved the problem on my 328 by slightly over filling the coolant, but I just live with it on the M3

Got this on my 328.

Wouldn't mind a quick how-to to change it would you? I guess you need to remove the header tank?

Does this sometimes on my 3.0l when I turn off the engine, checked the coolant, all is well.
