I really didn't like it at first but time is healing tired eyes. The interior (leather) is not M enough in my opinion though. Saggy leather should be kept for the standard models, M cars deserve the taught stuff, like Audi give the RS's. Even my current E61 M5 is beaten hands down by Audi leather.

As a whole, I'm a fan of the styling. I think it looks pretty good and I do think turbocharging is the way forward.

However the F10 itself is just far, far too big to be a sporting vehicle. Those ///M badged brakes look like something from ebay too.

Can't really believe 28.5mpg. From experience of turbo petrol engines EU official figures are way to optimistic.
Expect real world figure will not be that different from far more interesting V 10 engine

Strange to see that they've blinged up the brakes, does this mean they've been improved?

Dont like the chrome on the wing vents, far too Ripspeed for my liking

Wouldnt be too surprised to find myself swapping the E92 for one though in 2-3 years

The brakes are most certainly improved - six piston fixed calipers front and rear. No more single piston floating calipers.

LOOKS the same as my 2010 E90 M3 only bloated, it has huge weight as well.
I think mercedes has finally caught up in the power/weight stakes and BMW will pay in sales IMO.

Believe me, it doesn't look bloated. I've sen it close up. I've even touched it!

It's only 30kg heavier than the E60 M5.

The f10 m5 looks great to me, though I'm not too convinced by the chrome around the side vents (a minor point). Having seen a few f10 530s on the road, I think that the car does look big, but the sporty styling makes it look aggressive and purposeful.

I haven't driven any M-DCT m3s, but, if the DCT in the new m5 is anything like as good as the PDK in the 911 turbo (gen 2) that I drove a few weeks ago, the f10 m5 will be the perfect uber-saloon.

Looks fine, I just want to know how fast it is and what the gearbox is like.

Love it. Absolutely love it. At first I was a little underwhelmed as I adore the E60 M5, but this will definitely be on my future hit list when prices come down a little.

I'm utterly dusgusted with it! Yes it's a nice looking car, BUT performance?! 0.1 second quicker than a standard E60 M5 but only 190mph top end?! Hardly progress if you aks me. I love everything else about it, the gadgets to looks but NOT the perfromance, 560bhp is a sisgrace in terms of a eap forward with a new gen car. My plans to get in one next year have now changed.

I think "utterly disgusted" is a little strong maybe? It is certainly more in the spirit of the E39 than the E60. I was pleasantly surprised by the styling, a little "meh" about the power output but I have a funny feeling once the production car is dynoed the official figure will prove to be conservative. I know the turbos are already running fairly high boost levels but a little tweak should see some pretty silly numbers.
The only limiting factor in increasing boost levels exponentially will be the strength of the DCT transmission. Is it Manhartt racing that gets 700bhp from the X6M?
I'm thinking of getting the M6 convertible when it comes out to replace mine. Will miss the V10 wail but not the "driving it like you stole it" method of driving to make real progress.
