Look for a company called Evolve in Bedfordshire, or CA Automotive, both are very good at what they do, i wouldnt consider anyone else
CA Are more expensive so personally id choose Evolve, i think they still do an offer where they remap your car, let you take a test drive and if you dont like it they'll revert back to standard, a "try before you buy" sort of thing

To balance this, having a few bmers 335d V8M3 etc I wouldn't touch Evolve with a barge poleCA Are more expensive so personally id choose Evolve, i think they still do an offer where they remap your car, let you take a test drive and if you dont like it they'll revert back to standard, a "try before you buy" sort of thing

I have not had a problem with Evolve either. You can buy the remap in a box so you can take the map off when you get it serviced and then replace it after the service. Plug and play, easypeasy too.
Very wrong to slag a firm off without giving the details so I did a little digging.
not really, but I'd never deal with them!;)
+1. What's that all about then, care to elaborate?Geezer has e92M remapped by them,to be having a little drive a while later to find car loses its grip/momentum etc and all the bells and whistles go mentle, gets it into BM stealership, after further inspection finds trailing arm had failed !! ie bendy and given way ! obviously a little concerned along with BM techs only to fing the cause of failure was excess pressure applied to unit whilst being STRAPPED !! to rolling road ...........
Not good .Having got to the bottom of the reason why you slag them off at every opportunity I guess if they had damaged the alleged part (that you heard about rather than personally experienced) they will be well aware of it now.
For all you know the part may have been damaged before the car was put on the rolling road.

Care to elaborate? I have used Evolve on a few occasions and for parts they do their best to match prices - i got a set of KW V3 Coilovers a couple of years ago from them - was almost £100 cheaper than anywhere else!squeezebm said:

Remap place based in Luton area who have been known to cause damage to trailing arms when testing. To be avoided!

Hi JW ~ Another Evolve advocate here ~ if you have a search online, through the various BM specific forums in particular, I'm sure you'll find all the information you need regarding the quality of their work.
They did my M3 a few years ago and my 335i is getting the Evolve treatment tomorrow
. I did briefly consider DMS, Morego~BBR as well as Vishnu/JB tuning box options and I've read good things about Simon at e-maps too but Evolve get my vote.

Perhaps I should have added IMO
but the episode with the V8M3 was fact. Having spoken to the guy just after it happened, whilst it was with the dealer and afterwards, not internet hearsay and was admitted by evolve,I've had dealings with them myself and wouldn't use them. IT'S AN OPINION based on exsperience. If you are happy with using them then great and I hope everything goes well.Nice baiting but fail

I am one of the directors at evolve. We try our best to keep all of our customers happy and do a very good job of it hence our reputation. Just do a google search on us and you will find very little negative feedback. Of course just like any industry there will always be unhappy customers. I am glad to say that for us these are very much in the minority.
This goes back to an incident about 2 years ago. The damage was admitted and we paid the customer for it. In fact the customer came back for over £3000 worth more work after the incident took place. He did not have a problem with it. So I am not sure why SqueezeBM does. He has never been a customer of ours.
I don't usually respond to posts like this but as MR E Driver has pointed out SqueezeBM will take every opportunity to refer to an incident in which the customer was happy enough with our resolution.

So you don't remember contacting me unsolicited thru E90 Post via E-Mail? with an offer to carry out some "devolopement works" ie new re-map testing on a newish car, a new E92 M3 I had at the time. Making arrangements for me to pop the car down to Luton one sat morning. Only to e-mail me the night before quoting that you would not be able carry out the works as "something had come up" but would be in touch in the near future to re-arrange............................................still waiting, but it's ok I sold the car 2.5 years ago ! Then having learned a bit more of your reputation some excellent reviews, some not so good. I have an opinion that I wouldn't use evolve, It's my opinion thats all and if you market yourselves all over the car forums fThis goes back to an incident about 2 years ago. Where are the 'not so good reviews'?
k up, expect negative comments along with the positive ones. You seem to have an axle to grind for no real reason and given that your not a customer of any sort .... just go away.

E90post...the forum you have been banned from at least once for being abusive towards forum members?
So you are REALLY upset because you didn't get a free remap not because of an issue that we resolved fully with a customer.
At least we have got to the bottom of it. Thanks! :-)

yeh ok,it was 2.5 years ago so upset would be perhaps a little over dramatic,do you not think spending a load of cash on a new car that another £1000 would really make that much difference? no me neither. YOU approached ME to presumably use my car as a test bed whilst you were developing your re-map for it. To indeed add to your revenue and in return I got a re-mapped car .........win win. The annoying part was the unprofessionalism of your company to let a potential customer make arrangements and not even be courtious enough to contact him properly but to e-mail the night before
But after the dyno and trailing arm fiasco I was pretty pleased you didn't get hold of my P&J. Re E-90 Post are you still a forum sponsor ? do you still contribute so much to the forum ?
PH is an open and correctly modded forum, not a mates clique so therefore we can add our opinions. If they are not to you liking then don't comment

and please put your mate back in his box, as posting within 5 mins of each other make you sound desperate!
PH's name and shame policy prevents..........
I WOULD NOT USE EVOLVE - OTHERS HAVE AND WOULD AGAIN happy?

So basically, you missed out on a freebie and have got the arseache, understandable if not a little childish. I haven't had any work done by Evolve, but did bump into some of the people involved when they had their M3 at the pod a while ago. The time they took to explain the thing, and the genuine enthusiasm they have for what they do would see me at their door should i need to.
So, going back to the OP's original thread topic, i would recommend Evolve.
