I am due to pick up my M6 in a couple of weeks time.

It needs new tyres in a few 000 miles, what do you M6 owners recommend ?

Made the mistake of putting Continentals on mine and took them off 2 weeks later!

I`ve only ever used Michelin PS2s and they have been fantastic. Great grip and wear rate as well, got over 18,000 on the rears. Wouldn`t use anything else now. Is PS3 now available?

Pirelli Corsas on mine, massive grip, ok in the wet, sidewalls much stiffer than the contis (which tyres aren't?), so harder ride & maybe a bit noisier. Pirelli Sotto Zero's for the winter - definitely worth the investment - get them in the summer whilst they are cheap on ebay!.

and get used to 14mpg!
Its the only car I ever owned that I swear I could see the fuel gauge go down within 5 miles of filling it up!
And don.t forget it needs super unleaded!
I was doing £280 a week on fuel alone, and it drinks a litre of oil every 1000 miles - Castrol Edge which aint cheap!
That said, it was an awesome engine! It is, however, all top end and the oppurtunity to use this power is very limited on todays roads.
Thats the main reason I swapped to an XKR because the torque is lower down, and its easier to drive quickly in the real world (also does 23mpg on average)
Enjoy! You need to have one to get it out your system.....
