I'm after a bit of advice really....

I've owned Lotus Elises and Exiges for the past few years, so when it comes to tuning them, knowing the best options to fit and knowing the best companies to use, I'm right up there. However when it comes to BMW's, I really don't have a clue.

Not that I'm in any hurry to mod the car (it doesn't actually turn up until October), but I've always enjoyed having a slightly more sporty exhaust. Years ago I put a Miltek system on my Golf R32 and it sounded superb!!

So, my questions are:

1.) Who are the best / most reputable companies to take a BMW to in the UK? I really want to stay away from the "Max Power" type of establishments and go for a really decent company with people that work there who don't feel the need to call me "mate" after every sentance!

2.) Does anyone know a decent exhaust manufacturer that makes a system for the 1M? I know that Eisenmann have a system, as do SuperSprint, but in all honesty, I've never used these firms or seen the quality of their products. The only mainstream exhaust company I know is Miltek.

Basically I'd like to take the car to a decent company and fit a decent exhaust, but as I have very little knowledge of BMW tuning companies, I really don't want to end up at some "wide-boy" firm who deal with subs, blacked out windows, etc....you know the places I mean! I've heard that a company called DMS might be good, but it's a long way to drive to have an exhaust fitted, especially as they don't seem to stock any.

Anyway, any advice would be greatly appreciated smile

Thanks.

I heard a supersprint one on the 1m the other week and it sounded amazing and looked superb quality.

I would be surprised if the existing backbock is not taken directly from the M3, a bit of measuring shoud confirm this. If so, maybe existing systems may fit.

Evolve are very well known and respected

As for exhausts supersprint are good quality and usually quite a good oem replacement with a bit more bark. Eisenmann are arguably the best for BMs, they will give a much more exotic noise but hurt your wallet a lot more ! Either way you have already picked the best two manufacturers imo, maybe tubi as well if they plan on making a system
