E46 M3 Approx Price?
Discussion
Hi chaps/chapettes,
Im looking for an E46 M3 with the following spec:
- facelift so 53-54 plate
- Vert
- FSH
- 40-55k miles
- SMG
- Nav
- 19s
- SIlver/Grey/Black
What kind of price am I looking at? SO far Ive seen quite a few around 13k bracket but think they might be slightly overpriced. Thanks
Luke

Prices of M3's at this age/spec will always vary in price slightly. You really need to have a look at a few and get a feel for what is what.Always buy on condition with these and not age/mileage.What can affect the price most is if the car requires anything at the time of sale.If you look at a car which will soon require for example, 4 tyres, pads and discs and a service this will easily set you back over £2k and therefore should be priced differently from a a similar age/spec car which will need for nothing in the foreseeable future.

as nedz said, its a hard one to answer, if you buy one at 13k and its a good one then all good, but buy a bad one at 13k, could cost loads.
Mines a 53 good 2 owner, fbmwsh, loads of bits, most extras, etc etc and i would want 13k plus
you may want 13k plus, but you will never get itMines a 53 good 2 owner, fbmwsh, loads of bits, most extras, etc etc and i would want 13k plus
very good examples for 53 plates are selling for around 10-11k on average
I have seen an 2004 estoril blue vert with a hardtop, low miles in immaculate condition, and the seller cant even shift that at 13k as most think its overpriced.
for the OS, you should be looking to spend no more than 12k, take your time, the market is flooded with them, my advice would be to buy one off a forum member
Have a look on M3cutters if you havent already

I was merely making the point that good ones are worth a lot more

from the ones I saw recently on M3cutters, most there were overpriced too!
Not really imo, they are mostly reasonably priced, if you want to pay less, then you are probably buying a piece of junk, and you will be left with a whole load of bills.Dont skimp on buying a decent example, be cautious by all means, but dont buy cheap because its cheap if that makes any sense, else it might bite you in the ass
