Michelin Pilot Supersports vs Bridgestone Potenza S001?
Discussion
I use my Z4M on normal roads and on the occasional trackday (once a month). For the moment I'm running Michelin PS2 on my 19" CSL wheels. I need to replace my rear tyres, but PS2 are now replaced by Michelin with the slightly more expensive Supersports. I was talking to a guy who works in a tyreshop and has a Lotus Evora (that he also drives on trackdays). He was a big fan of the Bridgestone Potenza S001 and said it was almost as good as the Pilot Sports. In his opinion the best tyres on this level of performance are the S001 and Supersports. Also a set of two rear 19" Potenza S001 tyres are 200euro (170 pound) cheaper then the same Supersport.
The Aston Martin Rapide, Ferrari F458 Italia, Audi RS5 and Lexus LFA are equipped with S001 from the factory... And that are not the least cars.
In this test the S001 is a winner...

I dont think you can go wrong with any top performance tire from any major manufacturer although the Michelins have been getting stellar reviews. Might also want to give the new Bridgestone RE002 a think if you can find them.
I've installed Yokohama AD08s a couple of months ago and so far i'm extremely happy them.
