E46 M3 SMG - Clutch Replacement
Discussion
Hi all,
I think my E46 M3 SMG clutch is on the way out
Change is way more brutal than it used to be, and I'm pretty sure I'm getting towards serious clutch slip
I'm not surprised as I'm at 130k now (started at 47k), though most (prob 85%!) the miles are motorway
Any ideas how much I'm likely to have to pay out? (parts, I appreciate labours a lot dependent on who carries out the work - I've got a very good indy I use)
Is it a long labour job?

Remember I bought the other Carbon black one from Redline similar time to you and sold it 6 months later due to working away?
Well I have another, this time Imola red. Its a manual, and was stiff to get into 1st and rev when cold. Turns out its rust on the clutch splines makes them stick when cold, so I had a new clutch whilst it was done. Around £600 all in I think I paid at an Indy I use. Its a manual but I believe its exactlt the same clutch. It took him nearly 6 hours.
