Oh dear thoughts so... I live in Ricky too. They have been doing it heavily for a few years round here. I caught a gang doing it based from Ruisl and gave a load of evidence to police but they did nothing! You need to get 3 of new style bolts from Bm and park against a wall or with front wheels turned!
Speak to Steve at BMW High Wycombe in Service he can sort for you.

Gutted for you, and I'm afraid that I have little constructive to add to help.
Just read this thread, and your other thread too .... Did this theft happen in the time between you posting about what tyres to buy, and then coming home to find your wheels and tyres missing?
At least if you look on the bright side, your insurance should pay out for a brand spanking new set of wheels and tyres, or maybe give you a cash payout to the value of a new standard set that you could use for an aftermarket set (hopefully not 22" spinners, however each to their own)
BBS CH maybe?

I feel for you...been there myself. Back in the day my E36 328i Sport had it wheels nicked, then the E36 M3 that followed it had it's bumpers, wing mirrors and skirts nicked and a few years after that a couple of wheels were nicked off my E46 M3.
You need mutliple wheel nuts and not all the from the same manufacturer. Back then McGuard made the best and the BMW one's were s
te....the cynic might argue that it's not in BMW's interest to fit the best possible locking wheel nuts.....
I now have three sets on locking wheel nuts on my cars but I don't drive M cars now as I am a family man so maybe not quite so desirable.
Good luck with finding them....if you do find them and need someone else to come round with a big stick I am up for it

Hi
Sorry to hear about this, I think we all know what we'd like to do to theiving scum....
The good thing is, as pointed out that a new set of wheels will most likely be paid for by your insurance, it'll probably go down as a 'claim' on your record though
BBS CH are nice wheels, however wheels with a deep lip really do look fantastic on these cars. If you get the cash amount for new wheels from BMW, then a stronger and much better looking choice can be had in the form of Forged wheels 19 or 20 inch - bigger is possible of course
The amount of designs that'll suit is quite varied, and there's a number of designs which look awesome on these cars and keep with the BMW image of good designed wheels as well
That said, you may well only prefer oem wheels
A good friends car and a few pictures I took;

These are ultra rare Racing Dynamics RS2 3piece wheels in 21 inch flavour (I believe thats correct!)
Cheers, Dennis!

They my attract even more attention from the scumbags though
This.
Sadly the scumbags could be back. Oh and of course you'll have to declare those as a mod for the insurance company....
Maybe the personalised items may be more difficult to shift annonymously through eBay amongst the ads for other identical style rims.
Hi,
Anything is a risk nowadays, but I do agree with both points. Rarer wheels that look this good might garner the interest of those scum low lifes. However, trying to sell on wheels that are indeed much more rare becomes harder. In some cases recently, some BMW enthusiasts have indeed had their rare wheels stolen, only for them to appear on ebay a short while later. Whilst nothing in these cases I believe could be done, those security marking kits which cannot be seen by the naked eye protect against this sort of thing. Had those wheels above had these markings, the owners would've got their wheels back.
I'm getting a security marking kit like this for the various sets of rare wheels I have

Are thieves really that discerning ? I think they'd nick them and risk it....how many people mark up their wheels ? Odds are massively in the tea leaves favour.
Hi
I agree, the odds are in favour of the lowlife scum in that people can't be bothered to security mark their property. It's why when items are recovered, they can't be 100% proven to be someones if they haven't marked it. Things like wheels especially, of course the family heirloom and specific jewellery could be different etc.
On other forums, the enthusiasts i mention, some months later, their wheels turned up on ebay and the owners have gone around to ask them back or to chase up etc. No security markings so 100% cannot be claimed as 'their' wheels. More DIY kits are available nowadays and more specialist products which also log details with police databases are available. I guess it depends on how paranoid you are about various belongings.
In the picture above, the sunroof was open on the car
shot came out nicely, what with the other car in shot being another friends E39 M5
