Hi,

Does the above go off if the pressure is too high? I had a puncture today, replaced both rear tyres, and found a big nail in the one, so it's done it's job, but it came on again on way home, so pulled over and found rear tyre 5 bar over the others, reset after also.

Any advice accepted, thanks

Thats a good question. I suppose it could work both ways in theory. Does the handbook reveal any info?

It detects a difference in speed between the wheels (indicating low / high pressure), so I don't see why it wouldn't go off in your example

It uses the abs wheel sensors to work out the difference in wheel speed, and if there is a change it will set the light off. I would try to reset and then see if it goes off.

E46 M3? If you replace a tyre or adjust any pressures you need to reinitialise the system to force recalibration to any changes in relative wheel speeds. Just hold down the tpw button until the warning lamp comes on amber and drive until it goes out, you can do this on the roll after clearing the red warning.
