had my E39 M5 for six months now. and i am finding it so tiresome.the previous owner had it chipped to 436bhp but it's just not quick enough, what with the type of roads and speed limit's we have in the uk. just doesnt excite me at all.
i do not smile at all everytime i drive it.
i never marvel at what it does and more importantly how it does it.
it's terrible on tyres and petrol.
in fact i cant stand it.
ps. does anyone want to buy an F355.
i havent used it for the last 3 months..

Chipped to 436bhp hehe You don't chip them. 436bhp would require a lot more work than a remap. Headers, race cats and remap and you'd be doing well at 436bhp.

Why don't you sell it and buy something else if you don't like driving it ?

I know what you mean, I've had my E93 M3 for about a month now. It's just boring, too slow, sticks to the road like butter on a hot knife. Really clinical, no character. What is all the fuss about these M badged cars???

ok. for those who dont get it...the clue is in where she has her tongue.
i bought this car, my first bmw back in july. hadnt really lusted after one but needed a four door saloon for a few trips and did not think that it was going to be a keeper.
my other car has always been my kind of tool, much more focused etc etc.
every time i get in it it astounds me.
i know the E39 needs no more fan boy's on here.
however, my ironic post was prompted by another thread in which an ex owner seems to feel the need to explain at length why he was thoroughly let down with his experience with one of these cars and i truly dont understand where he can possibly be coming from.hence moved to post.
i mean each to there own. but i really cant comprehend how, using a car on uk roads, one could possibly comment, for example that these car's are not quick enough.
compared to what??
my M5 is epic. it was remapped prior to my purchase. made 406.9 hp with 395.4 lb/ft as it was and 423.4/408.1
after being fettled.
i am a complete and utter convert.
what a car!

Maybe you should have made use of some 'smilies' in the first post. It just came across as you being a bit of a knobstick tbh laugh

Glad you like the M5 though - I am feeling the M5 allure rather strongly and might just jolly well buy one lick

Great pic driving
