Pretty much as the title suggests, does anyone know (or have any info) as to whether BMW are going to make a new Z4m?

Seen a couple of references to one in a few Pistonheads threads but nothing is coming up on a net search. Is the 35is the best we're going to get?

Never say never they might just drop the new M3 engine into one.

All the car needs is a diff, quad exhausts, non runflats, a tad lower and it's done

For me personally I went with a 23i to see how I liked the car and a year later I was in an iS as I loved the car and there didn't seem to an M on the way.

35iS is a fantastic car and I might just mod it ever so slightly next year with some of the above.

I wouldn't go with an M version now that I have a 458 Spyder firmly in my sights yum

Hope not. Or my E86 will be worth even less than it is at present!

It'll probably use the tri-turbo diesel from the new X6M.

Can't wait...not!

Yeah, not sure there's a need to...that 35iS engine looks pretty good in the new Z! Some impressive performance figures, it's as quick as the older Z4M.

I can see a new M coming out but probably a limited run with a 6speed and the n54, much like the 1M/135i engine share saga. Can't see BMW going to the trouble of a v8 when the n54 is so capable..

If they do ill be very interested, the old z4m didnt do it for me but the new shape looks stunning!

Don't they effectively have that with the sDrive 35is?

Same could be said for the early 135's, if its a case of power output its pretty much down to a map/exhaust/intake

Isn't the 35is flappy paddle?

I'd love it if they made a fixed hardtop, so stripped some of the weight out. Added a manual and LSD and the 4.0 V8 - would be very attractive on all counts.

But i'm sure the price point it would have to sit at marketing wise wouldn't balance with the demand, so it probably wouldn't cover the prove out / production setup costs. I'll carry on hoping though!
