The wife just bought herself an Ovlov V50 D5 so my need for an estate / Tourer now seems unfounded. T'is a shame as im quite in love with the V10 and its wacky ways.

Do i just keep it and continue the journey and learning game?
Do i sell and go for an E60 Saloon, risking a quicker depreciation?
Do i go elsewhere, like AMG or similar?
Or do i go mad and find the Atom ive hankered for over the past couple of years.

Oooooh, dilema. Bloody women!!

Eddie, Sounds like a bit of bloke logic going on there...so you'd really consider getting rid just because you now have two estates in the family? lol! Sure there's not something else in it?

Must admit mines up for sale, but its purely down to its rubbish range and the fact that Im regulalarly doing 500 mile trips in a day. Gone for something a bit different (last car was a VXR8 Bathurst S)...a diesel! Not any old diesel, but a new Mercedes Brabus D6S converted E350 cdi cabrio....313 bhp out of the box, 40mpg without trying too hard and a monster amount of torque. Its no sports car though, but Ive had enough of hooning about.... for the time being.

Yeah, maybe a bit of bloke logic in there. It's just that I've had the pleasure of having the estate for the past 4 years while the wife zooms around in something more driver focussed. Don't get me wrong I've loved my barges but having to limit myself to performance estates is a bit, .......... limiting!

I won't sell it until I know what i want so there's no risk of me making a hurried mistake. It is liberating being in a position where I am not so restricted.

How about an e39 m5 - a good one I think will only go up in value, plus get your atom for the weekends? You get 400 bhp as your daily driver and the most insane car around for your ahem spirited driving?

35 GTR?

Or a 34, with the best engine in the world ever ever ever?

Or, I'd probably go for a Noble 3R with the money an E61 would make

Depends on what you need a car for.

I hope you wait to see how the missus's car works out. I like reading your posts on the E60/61.

However, if it's a toy you be wanting, you have to give the Atom itch a good scratch. There's nothing worse than looking back and wishing you had done something when you had the chance.

Take your time and enjoy looking around at the options. You've always got the M series to come back to.

As I said, I'm going nowhere yet and is need to actually sell it first. Could just be my annually appearing itchy feet but time will tell.

I'll be sure to give the widest car time to hang itself first.

Oh, and the M5 buyers guide isn't finished yet so you all have time yet. Lol

Go for the Atom, you will love it. Totally impractical, but such a rush - then buy something more sensible like the GTR.

Where does one go post M5?

How about Buchloe?

A conservative 500bhp & 516lb ft and mid-twenties rather than teens thirst, no pesky speed limiter either...

hehe

Then you're pretty much stuck with what you have, or must defect to Ingolstadt for an S6/S8 or start digging deeper into pockets for an R8, Gallardo or Viper. Or stick with the S85 and go 2 door/open top with an M6.
