The wife drove home on Saturday. It was the first time I'd been driven in my M5, or any other M5, and, basically, it felt like an absolute animal!!

I've always found cars feel quicker when you're a passenger, but the difference with the M5 was startling. I know it's quick, but probably due to the linear power delivery it doesn't feel anywhere near as quick as from the passenger seat. Instant shove, any gear, any speed. Brilliant! I love it more than ever now.

I now appreciate the look on my passengers faces when I'm hooning around in it.

Sorry about the rather irrelevant thread, just thought I'd share this with you!

My wife stopped driving mine as it made her giggle too much and she "made progress" otherwise in accordance to the safety of her licence! Good girl biggrin

Ha! Brave boy! Let my other half drive my M recently, told her to hold rev right to the limiter and she was screaming like a little girl (surprisingly!)

Ammused me though.
