Ive been offered a set of F1's cheap (brand new) and before i go spending my reddies i thought i'd better ask the masses what the opinion was when fitted to an M5 or M6. Feel free to enlighten me.

Not a fun tyre or tire, more suited to a vette with a concrete ride so you don't feel the concrete tyres.
They are a very wide stiff sided tyre, quite noisy aswell but massive grip on a dry smooth surface. They don't enhance ride quality.

I would rate them behind Vred,Michelin and Toyo and probably equal with Dunlop, those are the ones sampled over the years so can't comment much further.

Fair do's mate! Ive just read that they are a bit hard and noisy so probably wont go down that road.

On the contrary, I'd rate them as proper "premium" tyres along with Conti Sport Contacts and Michelin Pilot Sports. Not sure it's very objective saying their width is a negative point, given that no matter what tyre you choose should have the same width wink

Vreds and Toyos although not exactly ditch finders I'd consider to be in the class below.

Not all tyres of the same publicised width have the same overall width, or have the same tread width.

My Michelin PSS tyres are wider than the equivalently sized Continental, and they have a wider usable tread width too - possibly the reason they're 20% more expensive as well wink

A top tier tyre, that offers sublime grip in the dry, and confidence inspiring grip in the wet.
Noisy.

I've used them on mine for a few years, both the GSD3's and the asymetrics. They are good in the wet and very good in the dry and I put a lot of power/ torque through mine.

You'll not here any ''tyre noise'' in the cabin, I don't. The harder side walls are better suited to the heavier cars I've found?

Compared with the others the F1 made the ride kind of unsettled like the spring rates were wrong, only noticable at low speeds mind.

Deffo would not turn down a cheap set.

Had two sets on my RS4 and they were superb both on and off track.

Phenomenal grip in both wet and dry! Going to be putting them on my M3, when the Conti 3's wear out.

I had problems with them and buldging sidewalls but apart from that a good tyre.

I wouldn't turn down a cheap set......

Not as good as Vredestein Sessantas IMO though......

I did 8 track days on my last set, including Spa, with no issues whatsoever.

Well done, melted mine after 3 laps. Pissed off would be an understatement.

I'd be surprised if there was a huge amount of difference in raw performance.

The original F1 Asymmetric are quite hard in the sidewall, but I like that as it gives a better turn in on most cars. Obviously actual M owners have commented about jittery ride above, but that's quite a tempting price!

Just spoken to the seller. Sounds fishy so I think I'll avoid that one. Didn't sound overly confident they were new tyres.
