M Coupe Service

Good evening all,

I have just purchased a low mileage mint M Coupe

It still has 4 green lights however i want to put it in for an inspection 2 service so i know everything is as it should be!!

Can anyone recommend a specialist in the Leeds / West Yorkshire area?

PS. Is there a cheap solution to get a bit more noise out of the exhaust; i feel like it deserves a better soundtrack!

M coupe = Z4M Coupe?

Sorry its the Z3 M Coupe - i'm informed it is officially called the M Coupe

Also, ive read the valve clearance MUST be checked every inspection 2?

I also have slight difficulty getting it in first; if i rev it pops in - seems like a common problem; just needs the gear box oil replacing with thicker oil or clutch hose might need replacing?

What year is it? I other words, the early S50 (321 bhp) that needs valve clearances done at inspection II or the later S54 (325 bhp)?

1999 S50, done 41k mileage, last inspection 2 was done 5 years ago however with 39,460 miles on the clock. 99% sure not clocked as its immaculate and was owned by a wealthy chap who had it on show.

Yup, i use them as well. First class IMO.

Have you had an Inspection 2? Including valve clearance work? Also having difficulty engaging first gear!
