E46 M3 clutch life
Discussion
Hi guys, whats the general life expectancy of a clutch in an E46 M3.I know this could vary quite a bit depending on how the car has been driven, just want an idea of what kind of miles your cars had covered for those of you who have replaced the clutch.
Im thinking of maybe selling my vert this spring if all goes to plan and im wondering if this is something that could be an issue for a potential buyer.
The car is a 53 plate with 77k on the clock.Im hoping it will not be an issue just yet as the rest of the car will require nothing for a considerable time yet and i dont really want to be spending anymore on it between now and selling.
Cheers.

Like you say it all depends. I have an E36 M3 so similar and am in the process of installing a lightweight flywheel. Figured it would be daft not to change the complete clutch while I was at it.
17 years, 127,000 miles (5 years and many trackdays in my hands) and there is life left in the original clutch. OK e46 has more power and torque but should really last the life of the drivetrain if treated with care, doesn't mean you cannot enjoy the car to the full though. Riding the clutch and brutal standing starts are what will kill it quickly
