Hi,

Can anyone recommend a specialist or garage in South Wales area that would be up for fixing a Z3M Coupe subframe?

Cheers
James

I didnt realise this was a problem on the Z4M's as well as the E46?

Its not, its the Z3 where the boot floor tears due to the diff bracket and failed welds

OP - just had my M3 done at www.mprovesolutions.com and when I collected it they were working on a Z3 M Coupe with a split boot floor. I would call them as its all they do - fix M car chassis.

Not in Wales, but personally I would travel to Hong Kong for my car to be done properly lol

BMW were fixing this as good will.

They would be my first port of call.

Bit of comfusion going on in this thread, Z3M's run same rear suspension design/set up as E30's.

Nothing to do with the suspension design, the common issue is the rear structure is made of cardboard on too many BMWs.

Bummer on needing the work done but I'd suspect that will be a short call, they'll not have honoured that for a long time, but worth a go maybe.

Have you checked through the threads on Z3mcoupe.com? You'll doubtless have read through a number of the many "Randy Forbes subframe kit" threads out there on the web as well.

Thanks for everyone's replies. I'll check out all the information. I'm already a member on the z3m coupe forum but there doesn't seem to be anyone who has used a garage in south Wales for this repair.
