I am currently trying to sell my 2008 E93 M3 cab. It has 9500 miles on the clock. I just had someone come and take a look. After offering me £2.5k less than asking price (Which I turned down) he was saying how the low mileage was putting him off, and how he would prefer a higher mileage car for it's age.
Would an 08 car with this kind of mileage put you off???

Low miles due to infrequeny use, no.

Low miles due to daily used on short journeys, yes.

I feel for you, I'm a BMW enthusiast turned Independent Specialist and I'd forgotten how many idiots want to slag off your car, no matter how mint they are. It's as if they get a kick from talking down to you and knowing they're wasting your time and ruining your day.

I recent sold my friends Lamborghini LP560-4 E-Gear, literally the most mollycoddled, loved, well cared for, immaculately maintained, low mileage car you've ever come across, even for a Lamborghini. A guy turned up to view it in an 02 plate 1.4 Astra and told me the car looked like it had been resprayed and had a new front wing!!!! Really!!!! WTF!

I truly feel for you and it sounds like a lovely car, you'll have no problem selling it just hold out for the right customer and if you want any advise or tips please feel free to get in touch with me. colin@projectbayern.co.uk

Thankyou, The viewer was really annoying, coming out with all kinds of rubbish as to why I should lower my price. I just said take it or leave it, I am in no hurry.
I was willing to be flexible on price but not plain stupid.

Just a pretty poor excuse to chip the price. No doubt thinking he was the only person left in the country with cash to spend.

you did well to turn him down I reckon

Low mileage on an M car is a massive bonus and is more desirable. Hold out for your price, the weather is only going to get better and the convertible will soon be a desirable bit of kit for the summer months. If it was on my main dealer forecourt it would be up at more than that I can tell you.

Hold out for your asking price pal, theres too many dreamers and time wasters out there. Low miles would not put me off at all, especially when its only 3-4 years old.

If it was a Focus or something that people use daily and was a bit older then I would be wary, but not if its a weekend car thats been looked after and serviced on time.
