Before I shell out the best part of £1000 on an Eisenmann exhaust for my E36 M3 does anyone have any experience of one and is there anyone in the south that I could drive to so I can hear one in real life? Listened to about 100 YouTube clips and I think I'm pretty set on one, ideally the 83mm tips and in race set up. Thanks

I have one on my Z3M and its fantastic. It is quite an exotic noise but imo enhances the straight six howl nicely smile mine is 83mm but not the race and its more than loud enough

Thanks, had an email back from CA Automotive this afternoon. It appears the larger tip exhaust will require modification to my rear diffuser which I don't want to do so think I will just go with the 76mm tips. So would you say it is worth the money?

100% yes, arguably they are the best exhaust manufacturer for beemers, do it and get some vids up! I'm down in bournemouth if hearing mine will help with the decision !

What about Hayward & Scott exhausts? Ive got one on my E61 M5 and love it. Shanty has heard it in person so should be able to vouch for the impressive note. There are many in the Z4M and E39 M5 domain who have them fitted too.

Have you checked eBay Germany for a comparison?

Can't speak German but this looks relevant

Not a M3, but I have Eisenmann on my 550i with 76mm slashed tips. It's sport rather than race, but I love it. Perfect sound for the big V8.

I used to have a Scorpion & a Blueflame on my E36 M3 Evo, I loved the Scorpion. I'd save your money and go for that. The Eisenmann is top class though.

Pic of mine, I think they may be the 76mm tips by the looks of it, larger than stock though

I can and it sounds immense. I can't help thinking the v10 has something to do with that! Haha

I'm sure we can arrange a meet up if you like, my z has the same engine as your m3 so it should sound somewhat similar.

How is the rest of the car? The exhaust would probably be the last thing on my list to change, unless the current on was shot of course.

I’d be wanting it perfect before shelling out a grand on a bit of tubing that changes the sound a little

Milltek are other another well respected make. Certainly a lot lighter than the original system.

How's my car? Immaculate, got nothing left to spend on it except consumables like servicing etc. Might fit a big brake kit soon but that will be later in the year

I had a quad system on my old E36 328i, sounded great. Then had H&S on my ZMCoupe which were great too. I would find out the price of the H&S as I think they will be cheaper and sound just as good.
