Looks really nice but as previous posts maybe slightly overpriced.
I bought my CS around 3 months ago for almost exactly the same price. Mine has better spec and had only done 32k miles and is still under warranty but I did get a real bargain in my opinion.
Not sure if the Interlagos Blue and manual gearbox would be worth more than my grey / SMG.
Good luck

Potentially a nice example of a great car! The only desirable option that looks to be missing is an electric sunroof (lifts the cabin when you've got black leather and black headlining IMO) but that wouldn't be a show-stopper for me if the rest of the car was right. I think there are one or two factual inaccuracies in the advert (no launch control on a CS with a manual box and no cruise control either) but if you're after a CS it certainly looks to be worth a look.
In terms of price I'd agree with the other posts that suggest it's on the high side; I guess an independent won't be offering anything like the sort of warranty that comes with a BMW AUC so I think £14k would be more like it. Having said that, someone on another thread said they'd recently got over £15k on a private sale for a CS with over 50k miles on it so perhaps they're in demand at the moment? My rule of thumb was always 10% on top of the price of a standard M3 but I could well be wrong!

I believe I went to look at this car before it went to the dealer, so if it is the very same car;
A bit of background; this car was bought by a chap in Shropshire from Wynyards in the summer of 2011. He had it for sale for some time - about 2 months if I remember correctly. I went to look at it when he had it for sale, more about that later. Anyway, it didn't sell so he traded it back to Wynyards about 1 month ago. The photos on the web I think are from when they originally sold it.
So onto the car. The perfect spec in my view but when I saw it I spotted the following;
It needed new disks and pads all round.
The wheels were in poor condition needing complete reconditioning
The offside front wing had a small bubble above the wheel and the paint seemed to be quite thin.
There was overspray on the rubber trim behind the front bumper.
The interior was pretty good but the door pocket on the driverside has a very small nick in it.
The rear tyres were low but the seller had a spare set from a set of standard M3 wheels, they may well be on the car now.
Oil was clean and engine bay in good shape. It had just had a Inspection II with a specialist.
Service history was not all BMW, with the last two from different specialists.
The previous owner told me he had done a couple of track days in it at Anglesey.
So whilst it has low milage and is the perfect spec, I didn't buy when I saw it because I felt it needed some money spending on it to put things right - wing, brakes & wheels and at the time I was prepared to wait for another one.
Hope this helps, and these are all my personal remarks, if you're interested I'd advise going to have a look yourself!

I have also viewed this car, And my findings were exactly as above.. It needs money spending on it to bring it up to my standard,
When I initially saw it it looked absolutely awesome in that colour, And the wheels have just been refurbished so it looked stunning.. Until I examined the bodywork close up and found overspray in areas, and there has definately been a poorly repaired dent or scuff and the paintwork in that area is duller than the rest of the car.. There are also smallish scratches on almost every panel of the car, The car drives fantastically well, the engine note is superb, If it had been in better exterior condition I would of possibly put a deposit down on it.
However after a couple of long trips in my E39 M5 I dont think I can bring myself to let it go, Even after a spirited test drive in a CSL.. For me nothing compares to the M5..Its gonna take something very special to get me to part company with it.
(Apologies to anyone who has PM'd me re my viewing but my PH email aint working for some reason.)

Thanks - very helpful feedback.
Did either of you get an indication a sensible deal is likely? Surely no one is going to pay top whack if it needs a couple of K spending on it?
Given the comments from people who've seen the car it seems way over-priced to me! A few stone chips are obviously acceptable at almost 50k miles but £16k + should be buying a car that's pretty much spot on with little or no work needed in the immediate future; the fact the car's been tracked would put me off as well so all in all I'd be walking away from that one! However, if you were still interested I'd say £13.5k tops given the comments on condition and history.....Did either of you get an indication a sensible deal is likely?
