The E39 seems to be fast becoming a classic, it's not one I particularly like but appreciate the engine and ride quality it offers. Do we think the E60/61 will become or have similar future classic status? I think the V10 engine is just in a different league to most other high performance engines and surely alone with the F1 derived tech it should set it up as a future classic.

Classic status comes with rarity. There are a lot more E60's than E39's. The E34 is hardly mega bucks is it either te only one really showing some form is the E28 the original.
