Just ordered an M3 Coupe so now to decide on the colour - Wondering what people's thoughts are on:

Alpine White
Mineral White
Jerez Black

I know at the end of the day it's my decision but interested in what you guys have to say !!

Thanks

Congrats on the new car!

It's all personal opinion. I'd avoid white as the vast majority of M3's (and new cars) are white. If you're going white I prefer the Mineral White.

Mine is Jerez Black, it's got a real blue metallic to it and looks pretty cool in sunlight. There's also a Ruby Black which has a red metallic flake. It is difficult to keep the black looking clean though.

Some people don't like the black because the carbon fibre composite roof isn't so obvious.

Have you seen a Space Grey, that's pretty rare in M3's and looks good.

I'd say go mineral white. My friend has got one and with the black vents/grille and cf roof looks great. Has that extra sparkle over alpine white! Black is a great colour always but keeping it clean is so hard, and the swirl marks are a killer!

White, very fashionable at the mo, won't last! Black, bugger to keep clean, silver, easy, looks clean.

What about red or a blue, or the individual programme, estorial blue, Phoenix yellow??

The above post just reminded me. I don't know the name but BMW do a lovely yellow, the one that they make Z4's in now. I saw some photos of an M3 in this yellow and it looked fantastic. It wasn't Dakar or Phoenix.

I've currently got a sliver Z4M so fancy a bit of a change

I know white is fashionable at the mo but it looks nice on the M3 so is a contender

I do like the Jerez black but I've heard that it is hard to keep clean and will show swirl marks. I don't have loads of time to spend keeping my car really clean hence why I'm unsure on this. I do love the way it looks dark blue in the bright sunlight though.

I've considered Space grey but I've not taken by it. Red isn't a colour I like and I've looked at the blues and nothing really grabbed me.

Oh decisions, decisions!!!

I'll be going for black leather interior btw!!

I guess it's a personal thing but looking through the used approved cars on the BMW website there are a lot of either black or white M3's. I've had a couple in Space Grey which I think looks great especially with the comp pack wheels.
I've just taken delivery of this;

which I think looks pretty fresh in Le Mans Blue.

Never get a black car - 'kin nightmare to keep clean and they show every single mark, chip or dent.

White cars - hmmm they are getting far too common these days. The new silver?

Why not plumb for something interesting like Santorini blue?

I went through the colour decision a few weeks ago, and while you say you aren't a fan of red, I LOVE it!! (blatant red E92 picture alert!!!)!

Having the wifes X5 in black, that was a no-no (too difficult to keep clean), white too bloody common imo, blue not my thing, and my little 4 year old wanted me to get a red one wink

Looks great in all weathers, and doesn't show the dirt nearly as much as white or black. And with the cf roof, a little tinkering in future with black grills, pipes etc, it could look like a right 'bad boy' if that's your thing (not that I shall be doing that, well, maybe just the pipes lol)

Think the red with all the black bits looks fantastic, shame red went out of fashion but seems to be coming back slowly.

Love Red E9x's.

A individual Dakar yellow would be my top choice.

The red really does suit the E92. I like Silverstone too.

My wife has ordered one a few weeks back. Major dilemma with colour as well. She quite liked black although her E46 was black and though a change would be good. I really liked the white as it showed the roof off well. Finally went for mineral, black leather comp pack. Really slow in coming and I am itching to have a go in it.

Think we may have gone foe silverstone if she didn't want white.
