Kin pheasants!
Discussion
They are big heavy birds!
We hit one at about 100 leptons on our way up to Bristol in my boss's Vito, nearly came right through the wind screen it was a massive impact he did well to keep cool and keep the Merc straight and not hit the brakes.
I was still pulling glass out of my body 2 weeks later

I remember hitting a pheasant whilst hooning my old 205 GTi6 track car in scotland a few years back. Hit it at some naughty speed too. Wrote off the front bumper, cooler and cracked the Viper induction kit id just fitted @ £250 notes. Bloody pheasant picked itslef up and hobbled off into the bushes.
On that note me and my co-driver hit a seagull at 175mph whilst testing our Grp N Escort Cosworth in 2004. That went through the front grill and destroyed most of the hoses and light plastics under the bonnet as well as strving the engine of coolant and fuel. And it bloody stank to high heaven. Took us 3 months to repair all the damage.
Cannot black-cat this though: 140mph, 100lb deer and BMW do not mix!
