I have just nicely returned from a week of travelling around the (North/Mid) UK with the family, starting in the North east, down to Norfolk and then across to North wales, Southport and Liverpool. Including sightseeing at each place I have clock up over 650 miles in my E60, and in all that time I failed to spot another E60 M5, well I noticed a very bad copy in a garage in Cheshire with some pretty tasty BBS LM's.

Come to think of it, the only other M5 I have seen since owning mine (5 months) is the chap on my road.

Do any other owners see many kicking about?

You really don't see that many. But the M5 saloon is definatley the most popular variant. I've seen like 2 E61 M5's in the past 5 or so years and probably only 3 or 4 M6's.

Very rare. Makes it even wierd when I was passed by a doppleganger of my M6 about 10 miles away from my house last week lol

Pop into central London or Canary Wharf.....dozens around and few ever driven anywhere other than across town or into the home counties. Not a rare sight here.

There are a good number of saloons around the Bournemouth lacalé, but in 18 months of ownership I've only ever seen 2 other Tourers.

That has to be some sort of record for greatest concentration of M5s!

They are certainly rare round here, I see one other blue one very infrequently.

Changing tack slightly although they are rare I do like the way other road users behave when I'm driving it. I don't get anything like the grief I do with the GT3 or the Evo and people seem much happier to let you overtaken them which makes it all so much more relaxing.

Fred

There is a stunning blue saloon parked on my road. Funny thing is that no one believes my Touring is real...

You get that too? lol. It is a tad satisfying blowing away the naysayers that question your vehicles credibility.

Around town youre looking at 11mpg as a general average in these cars. 17mpg is an average for a mixed use driver. Try one for a day and see what you get.

11 and 17 tie in with official 13 and 19 (always ignore laughable extra urban)
I always get 50% less than everyone - so getting double figures would be an achievement for me !
