E36 Evo - dampers
Discussion
What is a set of new dampers likely to cost me? I am thinking of carrying on with the standard factory set-up. I have tried to search but nothing came up. How do I even know I need new dampers? The car, particularly at the back, seems to show up every little dimple and crack in the road surface and doesn't leave a lot to the imagination. That isn't a good sign, is it?

Try eBay, I think the seller is called ziggya-z or something. Sells the OE sachs shocks for £390 a set. Top mounts, z3 reinforcement plates all from the dealer, should make a difference especially the rear end. Rtabs worth doing whilst you're at it.

That's a good price, but you can do slightly better, I got a set of OEM Sachs dampers from my local Euro Car Parts for £365 all in.
I'd strongly recommend popping new springs on if you're doing the whole lot too, since it will be one lot of labour anyway. Eibach springs are well regarded and not too hard for about £210 a set (Larkspeed).
