S14.net What's Happened?

Not advertising the website (honest), just wondered what has happened to it? Markus says the servers are being swapped over a couple of weeks ago now it's totally disappeared?

It was up yesterday but only to view.

Sure it'll be up in a bit, don't know a lot about servers but may e they're doing the actual swopping of servers which is why its down totally.

Yep it was but it has been down over two weeks now? I'm no expert but I'm sure servers can be swapped over in a couple of days.

The way I understood it the site was going to be 'closed' as far as posting went to back up and then the switching of server which is why it's no longer 'there' now.

Relied on it for years for its Encyclopedic Search function - hope the glitch is nothing more than temporary although the domain seems to have been released (?)

Other than to use for reference I wouldn't be bothered. It makes PH look like the most welcoming site in the world, the whole 'inner circle' issue a few years ago put me off.

I used to think that but I reckon that it has become much more "friendly". At least that is what I have found since I have started using it more in the last six months or so.

I didn't take you as being rude, I have just cut and paste the message on S14.net and highlighted the 'Welcome to 2075' in reply to your 'it had better be good', sounds like they have made it very futuristic, whether that is good or not has yet to be seen.......................

Please remember the site is free to use and isn't covered in sponsor ads or connected with S14 products, which helps keep things open and free to talk about, without having to moderate overly.

It is pretty much a one man band, in that the site owner does all the design and work himself with just a couple of mods to help keep the spam and idiots away. I know he is exceptionally busy in his paying career right now, so guess S14.net has had to come second to paying the bills.
