2007 M5 Squeaky Brakes?
Discussion
It normally comes from the pad sensor housed in the caliper. It should come and go with use - but it is quite irritating. Mine used to always do it as I reversed into my drive but has since dissappeared.
No doubt it will come back at some point.
U could take the caliper off, clean everything up if u have the inclination but it doesn't guarantee that will get rid of it for long.

If the brakes are only lightly used such as in urban traffic the pads will glaze over and squeal. Find your favourite stretch of quiet dual carriageway and do a few hard 80-20 stops in quick succession to get the brakes good and hot. That might well cure it and even if it doesn't you'll have had some fun.
Look through the alloy wheel and at the pad to see how much friction material is left. If there is a lot left , wire brush the caliper getting rid of all the dust, copper slip generously and reseat the pad.
If there is little material left, replace the pads. They are the same pad as the 535D, get Pagid or Textar from Eurocarparts.

You can say that again If there is little material left, replace the pads. They are the same pad as the 535D, get Pagid or Textar from Eurocarparts.

Edit: sorry on my blackberry it came up as triplicate posts... Either that or the red wine was kicking in again...
I'll get my coat!
