M3 HPI Check

Hi All,

I'm hoping to be joining the ranks of E92 M3 owners soon... I am just about to put a deposit down on one, however after doing a HPI check I've had a result I've not seen before.

The HPI reports a status of 'Interest Registered against a previous plate' and the actual statement on a previous plate (2 years ago) is 'This VRM has been recorded on the Security register', the VRM at the time was also on an M3 - though it doesn't tell me anymore than that.

Is this anything to worry about? Could it be something directly related to the VRM rather than this vehicle? I've had similar before with finance against a previous plate, but that had nothing to do with the car I was buying at the time.
