Driving home tonight from the car wash I noticed my car was down on power - it wouldn't pull to pass another car. I then noticed that the idle very erratic at a junction and pulling away again it wouldn't rev passed about 2000rpm.

After another half mile (I was getting very close to home - I just wanted to get it back to take a look) some oil started burning on the exhaust and putting smoke out the back. By the time I got it home, this was the mess under the engine:

frown It's completely drained of oil now - most of it lost on the driveway and the following is what I've managed to work out:

- Engine Oil Cooler is intact and free of oil
- Engine Oil Pipes are intact and also clean
- The leak is limited to the driver's right hand side and in the O/S/F wheel arch
- No EML/K light came on when driving back
- I can't see any visible holes or gouges

What I need to know is:

A) What components are on the RHS of the engine?

B) A good garage local to Basildon, Essex that could come pick up the car and diagnose

Help frown

Googling the CPV, it appears to be associated with smallish leaks. Would its failure cause basically ALL the oil to be lost?
