I've booked myself in for a test drive of a Z4MC on Thursday. Can anyone point me in the right direction or have on them a list of places to check over the car to ensure it's not got any hidden/common problems? I've completed a HPI check and that came back all clear. Had a good look at it on the dealer forecourt, all looks good in that respect aswell.

It's done 75,000 miles according to the advert, 3 owners, Monaco Blue and is a 56 reg.

Cheers,

Chris.

Here's a general list & buyer's guide from Z4-Forum.com

Only thing I'd add on a coupe is to check there's no surface corrosion on the underside of hatch.

Well, the car is now mine biggrin. I feel like a big kid with all the excitment. Car gets picked up next Wednesday.

Going from a Focus to a Z4M was a big jump, the performance is mental. The clutch takes some getting used to aswell, very sharp biting point meant I was kangerooing it a bit.

Congratulations Charlie and welcome to the club.

Take it easy at first as they can really take some getting used to. Don't expect razor sharp handling like a Cayman, but do expect a car that will demand that you take it by the scruff and drive it. Welcome to the old school.

Enjoy.

Looking forward to learning everything I can about her. The steering is very precise, the engine note is to die for and The interior is very well put together.

I'll be taking her easy for a while, learn her limits at my own pace. Then the fun can start. Initial plans are to keep her as BMW intended.
