Swapped my TVR Cerbera 4.5 yesterday for a Z4 M Roadster, i have always loved the Z4 M coupe & just thought the heightened sound of the engine with the roof off would appeal, its very early days but so far i am very impressed with it, just a shame summer is nearly over!

A little pic! smile

Welcome to the club sir and a fine looking motor there. thumbup

The instant thing you'll miss from the Cerb though is a lack in noise so, i ended up investing in a Scorpion stainless system for my M3.
Obviously not that I want to spend your money for your you in any way....... hehe

Get out. Get the roof off and enjoy !

Lovely. I reckon the exhaust should be left as-is. If you want more noise get a GruppeM intake for some induction roar

She's a beaut!

Unless I am mistaken the only difference between mine is Carbon Black instead of Sapphire Black. But the dark exterior with red interior really sold it to me... enjoy the Sport button! :P

Thanks very much for all your kind comments, i must admit my brother in law has a e46 m3 & i thought it was fairly quiet, thats why i opted for the roadster to enhance it abit with the roof down, i am really chuffed with it.

Its obviously a different beast to the TVR but i think it still feels like a great drivers car & the rear end feels alive, so that suits me fine! smile

I picked up one in April -

I've put it to good use this month taking it to Spain via some great roads on the Pyrennes and back via Millau.

I think that they're a bargain considering their performance, reliability and everyday usability.

Cheers John, looking at your garage you certainly have a great selection of fun cars! i admit the only performance car that i havent changed the exhaust from standard is the TVR & that had a sports one on from the factory, i will see how i get on with the standard set up for a while & i dont mind you spending my money for me!

Leave the exhaust alone

FYI Simota are releasing their long awaited (by me anyway) carbon induction kit next month. It's less than half the price of a Gruppe M

I've ham my Z4MR for over 2 years/28k miles now and it still has my giggling like a schoolgirl

Nice car, agree with others leave the exhaust alone, and my opinion is to avoid that silly by pass mod at all costs, sounds rubbish.

If anything, induction noise is what you should be looking to improve.

Lovely engine
Lovely BMW
Keep it standard enjoy driving it ....
I am pretty sure will be a lot quieter than your TVR
I like the subtlety understated class of a completely standard BMW, however, if u have to change something for a bit more sound maybe consider if one of the BMW Performance exhausts will fit ?

Otherwise maybe change the induction but then u might keep in modifying .... Who knows ....
