Idley browsing the VOSA recall website as you do, I stumbled on this....

http://www.vosa.gov.uk/vosa/apps/recalls/searches/...

Seems the M3GTS isn't going to be quite as lightweight as it was supposed to be.

What's interesting is that IIRC there were only supposed to be 10.....and that recall says there are 17 in the UK. Naughty BMW.......

Ah yes in Mr Harris's review from his EVo days it mentions 10 cars.

http://www.evo.co.uk/carreviews/evocarreviews/2543...

That explains my local dealer had one sitting in their showroom unsold for months when all the cars were supposed to have been sold whistle

Good find!

Hadn't realised the rear window was polycarbonate, thought it was just thinner glass like the CSL. I wonder if replacement is required, whether BMW will fashion a thin glass one specially for it

Wondered why the one I bought (and sold) had glass when the manual said polycarbonate.

Did you know BMW UK has sneaked a few more into the country ? Or do they keep dealers in the dark too ? Just interested.

There were 15 for sale, and BMW UK have 2 more, one on the press fleet which is being kept as part of their historic fleet and one on the marketing fleet which has now been written off
