Can you wrestle an M6?
Discussion
Not in the swimsuit, covered in oil variety of wrestling, but rather can you take an M6 by the scruff of the neck, and give it serious abuse (ignoring the brake issue) like you can an M3, or does the sheer weight and suspension setup of the M6 fight giving it a really dynamic seeing to?
Mods, please change "and" to "an" in the subject. Thanks

Trouble is you`re going too fast in an m6 to do this on the roads. Yes you can take liberties with it but it really only comes into its real stride north of 80mph.
I found it was much more about measured inputs and utilising its incredibly planted feel to make smooth but blindingly fast progress. It is after all a GT not a sportscar.

I took my E61 M5 to the Nurburgring last year. The only four cars that overtook me that day were 2 GT3s, a GT2 and an E36 M3 VLN race car, which was massively quicker than the bus in the corners. I would imagine the M6 would have been even more fun. Mods, please change "and" to "an" in the subject. Thanks

I also took out a friend who has some nice metal in his garage. His first reaction - f
k me! This thing is so quick and it actually handles. Search on YouTube - there is a nice video of a brand new M6 being manhandled around the Ring by a Canadian Pistonheader, who elected to take the European delivery option.
M5 and M6 relish being driven hard...

Have taken mine on several track days, it feels heavier than my 996 GT2 but still quick and fun. Mods, please change "and" to "an" in the subject. Thanks

Brakes are far better, more durable on a track day than my old E39 M5. Noise improved considerably by an Eisenmann exhaust. Check out the clip, not my car in this clip but the sound is the same... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZxq3lvUh6Q

How did you find your M5 brakes on track?
Standard? When did they falter?
Standrd E39 M5 discs and factory pads, the discs warped every time they saw a track day, but were replaced under warranty, I had to pay for new pads though.Standard? When did they falter?
My TVR Cerbera at that time had AP rotors and they were fabulous on track days.
