E39 M5 - finding the original specification

I vaguely remember someone mentioning there is a website that if you have your registration/chassis no. it will tell you the exact spec of the car ie standard options plus the extras that were spec'd at time of purchase.

Will be selling mine soon and it bugs me in adverts where the seller lists umpteen standard spec items in the advert.
