Will need some new discs and pads soon.

Is it a worthwhile upgrade going for PF discs and pads only or sticking to the OEM discs?

PF costs about £700 fitted.
Ideas what oem are?
Thanks

Front disks from here
http://www.mister-auto.co.uk/en/front-brake-discs/...
about £160.00/pair after discount and rears from Eurocarparts. Make sure they're ATE which are OEM - mine even came in BMW boxes. Look out for the best Eurocarparts discount code at the time.

oem discs, some good pads (ferodo DS300 front/DS2500 rear or carbone loraine RC6/RC5), braided hoses and 5.1 fluid and you are sorted

well this is if you are doing track days...

I've got PF on my GT3, be careful with which pads you choose, not sure which grade mine are but they've not done the front wheels any favours at all, will becoming off as soon as I get round to it

I think my problem is more down to the compound, doubt its just the PF I'd expect other track bias pads to be the same

I think there's a metallic element to the pads that just wrecks the wheels, I can't find a wheel acid that will get it off do am going back to standard pads and having the wheels refurbished

The ones I linked to are OEM disks. Quite a few members on M3cutters have bought from there and have been happy they are the real thing.

You only need a new sensor if the brake light has come on for new pads. If the brake light hasn't come on then you can reuse the sensor. I've done this before on my Z4M and it should be the same on the M3.

When you reuse it the brake light will remain on for a few days but then the code clears itself and is back to normal.

For the disks: don't forget to use the promo code shown at the top for 35% discount. It will cost you £168.00/pair after the discount. There are quite a few members on M3cutters have orders from here and have been happy the disks are kosher and the price is correct.

I used yellow stuff pads on mine, new sensors, ATE Super blue brake fluid and Goodridge Stainless steel fitting brake hoses. I don't track my car but I have found a massive improvement and no squeeling at all.
