Hey wise M owners,
Happy new year and all that jazz.
Four times now "der Doctor" the suffered from random power blackouts. While driving along, the radio, lights, power steering, ABS, seat sensors etc have all shut down, and after only 10 seconds have restarted themselves and carryed on as normal.
Twice it was in heavy rain, twice on dry winter days.
Has anyone else suffered from this?
Cheers and beers,
Greg

Exactly the same happened on my M3 when I first got it. Just check the clips on the terminals are done up tight enough - mine weren't until the AA man did it for me on the side of the M27!! Never had a problem since!

Either the CCC (iDrive) or Steering Angle Sensor.

thanks folks, took it into BMW and for £100 they spotted a loose battery connection.
All good now, just have to sort out the "Transmission Fault" popping up at motorway speeds

Had your car been in for the battery recall? If so did they mess with the terminal then, and not do it up tightly enough?
