That's what I am saying to myself with tomorrows commute planned. Now I am not normally one for saying "ooh its snowing!" but it is like a blizzard out there.... still it was perfectly planted on the short petrol run this evening and I am banking on the motorways being relatively clear at 6 tomorrow....

My 160 will now be 240 as I have just added the avoid main roads option!

The m-ways will be fine its the roads from here to them and from them to my destination that will be tricky.

I'm going from Yorkshire to Essex I think I'll use the A1 and steer as east as I can I think the trouble is in the west.

Will pack winter stuff just in case, like a mini adventure!

Why would you avoid main roads? Surely if the weather's due to be bad then you'd be better off sticking to the main roads?

Just to beat the 2nd poster Obviously I will be sticking to main roads but yes in the west we had a bit of a flurry of snow but its mostly all panic at the first sight of sleet these days. It will be the first venture out on untreated roads first thing in the new car but I am sure it will be fine... its the other road users I worry about!
