Who is currently running a non BMW aftermarket warranty?

Warranty direct or Warranty wise?

well aware of how good the BMW warranty is but that is not an option for me. so please, experiences on the aftermarket warranties would be appreciated.

The BMW warranty isn't that good actually

I am using the "put the £100/month it would have cost in the bank" warranty

i would go for the "proper" warranty, or a £5k+ slush fund to go with it (that i was fully prepared to spend) and then throw your £100/month in there too

also they assure me they cover the clutch, flywheel, oil pump, vanos etc etc

this is the thing. it sounds great but i want real experiences of why it isnt.

BMW isnt an option.

When i purchased a Z4M i managed to get one for not much more than private with two years warranty in with the price.

Two years warranty on an M5/M6 would be pretty useful i would imagine and offer piece of mind......

Why is that? afaik the car doesn't need a full BMW s/h history if that was the reason. But it must have been serviced according to the recomended service intervals & my paperwork says less than 100k miles when you take it out (for the comp warranty)

Needs to have Full BMWSH and has had BMW parts fitted throughout its life. There have been instances where a car has been covered without a full history but that was because the car had almost a full history and passed a BMW inspection that allowed a form of BMW warranty. If you want circa £90 a month the car must be <60k miles when its started (always go for the monthly contract as the price doesnt jump annually or after 60k). If its over 60k when you start it the price will be about double. After 100k the cover drops to a limited cover.

Completely disagree. I have never had a single issue with claiming for anything.

I think he meant for cars other than the M5/M6 V10's. Its excellent for the V10 monsters as its an expensive car to fix, but the other models are generally less of a money pit.

I used WD to cover my RS6. Might as well have not bothered. They only cover the broken part so no cover for the rest of the bits around it that would probably need replacing as part of the job. Example is DRC on the RS6. If one shock leaks then you need to replace the opposite and diagonal shock. WD only cover the broken one so youre still left to cover the £1000 for the other shock on top of any excess etc.
