Hi all,

Going through the pain that is renewing my car insurance, have had numerous quotes from various places but just wondered if any of you had any recommendations please (especially if you've been through it recently)?

Suggestions other than the following please: RK Harrison (ex MWA), A-Flux, A-Plan, Chubb, Aviva, Churchill, Direct Line, LV, BMW, Swift or Axa.

Thanks in advance.

Michael

same here,
admiral/elephant/diamond/bell are actually the same company.
there might be slight difference in quote but as long as you tell them you have lower quote (with ref number) to the one you're calling then they'll drop it to the lowest you got from any of those companies.

In terms of insurance work, they're absolutely HORRIBLE.
I had non-fault claim on mine (someone reversed into my parked car and ran away)
the lady on the phone guaranteed there will be no insurance premium increase as it's non-fault claim.
The insurance company's garage had my car for 2 days and didn't fix it. When I turned up to return the rent car a mechanic from shop asked me to wait and he just touched up the paint asked me to leave. No polish, no sanding, no priming, no washing, just bloody touch up with thin brush.
I decided I'll get it done myself so left there. Next renewal date my premium went up by 550. I asked why, manager said I have non-fault claim. I asked him to check the phone record, he returns with letter "I'm sorry that we misinformed you however there's nothing we can do about it. You have to pay the premium if you want to be insured and if you'd like to make a complaint, please enquire our complaint department.'

but.. at the end of the day.. they were the only ones that would offer reasonable quote.. (second cheapest was ridiculous amount, something like 22k, literally uninsurable)

Or maybe Adrianflux, I saw them advertising lots on insuring Bimmers.
Hope that helps and sorry about the rant
