Depends what you want from the experience really. If its just a bit of fun it will be fine. The M3 vert has enough power to keep up on the straights but I personally wouldn't feel very safe in a convertible if its a particularly fast track you are intending on visiting.

I did! I went to spectate at a track day a couple of years back. It was a beautiful evening, roof down, blah blah, but once there, was itching to go on, so did! Lol. Went round with the roof down. Was not as good as a coupe, but still good fun. Just be prepared for the roll over bars to pop up behind the rear headrests! As I was pushing on, I hit a kerb going through a corner and they popped up! Easy to reset though. No tools required! They give some crack when they come up!

Lol. My pants were not nearly as brown as the first time it happened! The roof was up the first time! I don't know who had put that hump in the road that got you airborne above 60!? wink I didn't look in the rear view mirror for about 30 seconds, out of fear that they had gone through the rear window! I could remember that on an E36 cab, they would have burst the window, but fortunately on an E46 they don't! Lol.
